Apps I built & use every day.
Small tools I make for my own learning, then share. Free for personal use — and I'm happy to customize them for a school or organization. Want the source? Just ask.
Shas Tracker
A tappable map of all of Shas.
A Duolingo-style learning trail across the whole Mishnah — 6 Sedarim, 63 masechtot, 525 perakim — that you tap to mark done. Two independent journeys tracked side by side, with every perek readable in-app.
- The trail. Tap a perek to mark it learned; whole-masechta and whole-Seder finishes celebrate.
- Live reader. Open any perek and read its mishnayot — Hebrew and English — pulled straight from Sefaria, no login.
- Stats. Pace and momentum: cumulative progress, per-Seder breakdown, last-7-days pace, and a siyum calculator.
- Yours to own. A Google Sheet is the source of truth; it runs with no server and no monthly cost.
Shalshelet שלשלת
The chain of the mesorah, on one timeline.
Every figure of Torah from Adam to today — 185 in all — placed on one continuous, zoomable timeline. A video-editor-style ribbon of lifelines you can pan, zoom, and filter, so the whole shalshelet becomes something you can actually see.
- One spine, two dates. Everything sits on the traditional Anno Mundi axis, shown alongside BCE/CE — honest about where the two chronologies differ.
- Filter the mesorah. By era (Biblical → Modern), by stream — Sephardi, Ashkenazi, Chasidic, and more — or narrow to the Kabbalists.
- Real faces only. Authentic photographs and period paintings, each labeled; everyone else gets a dignified placeholder — never an invented face.
- Bilingual. Full English and Hebrew with proper right-to-left layout, plus 38 events from Creation to the State of Israel.
Three ways to use it
Personal use
Either app, free, set up for you — your own copy of the Shas Tracker, or Shalshelet to explore and share. Yours to keep.
Set mine up →Customized
Want it themed for your yeshiva, school, or organization — your names, your tracks, your branding, a shared board, or Shalshelet tailored to your curriculum? I'll build it for you.
Let's talk →Source code
Happy to share the source so you can host or extend it yourself. Reach out and tell me a little about what you're building.
Ask for the code →Get it, or make it yours.
Either app — a personal copy, a version for your school or organization, or the source code. Tell me which and I'll get back to you.
More apps are on the way.
Shas Tracker and Shalshelet are the first two. If there's a Torah or learning tool you wish existed, tell me — it might be next.
